Arisia is a big-tent volunteer-run convention held in Boston, Massachusetts each January. Billing itself as 'New England's largest and most diverse science fiction and fantasy convention', Arisia aims to cover all aspects of science fiction and fantasy literature and media and attracts about 4,000 attendees. It is run by Arisia, Inc., which was founded as a non-profit in 1989 to hold conventions and to promote science fiction and fantasy in all forms. The first Arisia Convention was held in February, 1990.
