Alice Bentley

Alice Bentley has been many types of fan, including fan writer, fan artist, and convention runner. But she is probably best known for operating one of the best science fiction bookstores ever, The Stars Our Destination. TSOD was a center of fannish culture for fifteen years in Chicagoland, IL. Gamers gamed there, authors spoke and signed there, and happy fans first encountered many wonderful books, authors, games, art, toys, great conversations, and other joyful experiences there.

Alice has since moved on from bookselling, and also away to the Seattle area. She still goes to cons regularly, both there and in other places.
